Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like-minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest. Monthly Chapter meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month, except for July, November and December, when they are held on the third Thursday. Click on the Calendar button above for the dates of our upcoming meetings, events and activities.
Kids between 8 and 17 years old who are interested in aviation can take a free Young Eagles flight and see what pilots do on the ground and in the air. Since 1992, more than 1.8 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight from EAA’s network of volunteer pilots. EAA Chapter 579 has flown over 16,000 Young Eagles - more than any other EAA Chapter worldwide. To learn more about the free program, click on the Young Eagles button above.
